Four of family killed in accident on Mehsana-Unjha highway while returning from wedding

In a  heart-wrenching incident on Mehsana-Unjha highway early on Saturday, a family of four, including a child, were killed and six others injured when their Eeco car lost control and hit a divider. They were returning to Ahmedabad after attending a wedding.

The Kumawat family that met with the accident lives in the Ramol area of ​​Ahmedabad. Originally from Pali, Rajasthan, the family members were returning to Ahmedabad after attending a wedding in their hometown. The entire family was killed when their Eeco car lost control and crashed into a divider on the Unawat highway. Four of the family – Ramlal Kumawat, Kailashbhai Kumawat, Komalben and a child – died on the spot, while six others were injured.

Upon receiving information, Unava police rushed to the accident site and shifted the bodies for postmortem examination. Further legal proceedings are under way to determine the exact cause of the accident.

The incident caused traffic congestion on the highway for some time.
