Four more coaches on Vande Bharat Ahmedabad–Mumbai to benefit 278 more travellers

To ease passenger congestion, Western Railway (WR) has decided to add four additional coaches to the Ahmedabad–Mumbai Vande Bharat Express. With this move, an additional 278 passengers will be able to travel on the train daily until March 7.

The decision has been taken keeping in mind passenger convenience and rising demand, WR stated. Train numbers 22961/22962, which operate between Mumbai Central and Ahmedabad, will run with a total of 20 coaches from January 26 to March 7. Over 40 days, nearly 278 extra passengers per day will benefit from the increased capacity.

In view of the heavy rush on key routes, WR has also announced a special weekly train between Okha and Bandra Terminus for one month. The special train will operate 10 trips between January 27 and February 25. It will depart from Okha every Tuesday at 10.20 am and reach Bandra Terminus the following day.

The halts will be at Dwarka, Khambhaliya, Jamnagar, Hapa, Rajkot, Surendranagar, Viramgam, Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Bharuch, Surat and Borivali in both directions.
