Four killed, three injured in fatal accident on Ahmedabad-Kutch highway

A grave accident occurred Ahmedabad-Kutch highway near Dhrangadhra bypass when a car met with an accident with a truck on Dec 6. 

The car lost control near Kuda Circle, jumped over the divider, and rammed into an incoming truck on the other side of the road.

Out of the seven people in the car, four have died, including three teenagers. While the other three have suffered grave injuries and are shifted to a nearby hospital.

Fatal accident near Dhrangadhra

As per the details provided, the seven youngsters were returning after attending a wedding in Dhrangadhra’s Narali village.

They are reported to be residents of Golasad village in Halvad Taluka of Morbi district.

The deceased in this accident are identified as:

Umesh Ukadiya, 15

Kanji Rataiya, 17

Kiran Surela, 17

Karshan Rataiya, 24

Kanji Surela, Amit Ukadiya, and Suresh Dhamecha suffered serious injuries and were shifted to Dhrangadhra Government Hospital.

They were later shifted to Surendranagar hospital for further treatment.

According to a 2022 report, Gujarat ranked tenth on the list of road accidents, with a considerable share of 3.40%. A total of 15,751 deaths were reported due to road accidents in the year.
