Four Gujaratis who wanted to enter the US illegally go missing
The man was taken to the Netherlands, Port of Spain, Dominica, and then the US
The wife of a Gujarat man had filed a complaint in the Prantij police station for her missing husband, Bharat Rabari. According to the complaint filed by Chetna Rabari, her husband had paid ₹70 lakh to an agent to enter the US illegally, but now the husband has been out of reach for the last six months.
Bharat also had eight other Indian nationals with him, out of which four have been inaccessible, including Rabari. Prantij police have arrested an agent named Divyesh in the case.
The route taken by Rabari
Divyesh had helped Bharat Rabari board the flight to Mumbai from Ahmedabad on Jan 8, 2023. Rabari had informed his wife that he would first go to Amsterdam from Mumbai, then to Port of Spain after four to five days, and then to Dominica.
From Dominica, he had talked to her wife multiple times, however, after Feb 4, 2023, there have been no calls from him.
The agent said the missing person was in Martinique
Following that, the wife had asked some of her family members to meet Agent Divyesh, and the agent had introduced them to one of his superiors, Mahendra.
According to Mahendra, Bharat Rabari was in Martinique with other Gujarati immigrants, and they would get in touch in the next 10-15 days.
However, even after 15 days, when there were no calls from Rabari, the family met Mahendra once again but was told to wait.
Chetna Rabari then got in touch with other families whose kin had gone with her husban, and they also informed her that there has been no news about their family members, too, for the last seven months.
