Four Guj cadre IAS empanelled as joint secretary, GAS promotes 13
In an official notification dated Jan 19, the department of personnel and training (MoPP&P) rolled out a list of 31 officers from the 2007 batch of the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) who have been empanelled for holding the post of joint secretary or equivalent at the Centre.
Among the empanelled officers, four IAS from the Gujarat cadre hold the place on the list.
They include Ravi Shankar, Remya Moothadath, Dilip Kumar Rana, and Sandip Sagale.
Ravi Shankar is the director (administration) at Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Ltd (GUVNL); he also holds additional charge of the post of chief administrator, Statue of Unity.
Remya Mohan is currently the mission director of the National Health Mission in Gandhinagar.
The municipal commissioner of Vadodara, Dilip Kumar Rana, was also on the list of empanelled officers.
Another Gujarat cadre officer on the list, Sandip Sagale, is currently the industries commissioner at the industries commission of the government of Gujarat.
On the other hand, the general administrative department has promoted 13 officers to the selection scale. The senior-scale officers of the Gujarat Administrative Service (GAS) were promoted to the selection scale at level 13 in the pay matrix (₹1,23,000-₹2,15,900) from the level 12 pay matrix (₹78,800-2,09,200).
The officers include BK Joshi, DK Patel, BH Patel, IR Vala, MD Chudasama, NN Madhu, BS Prajapati, AK Vastani, PB Rathod, SR Goswami, JK Jegoda, MM Patel, and YB Jhala.
Recently, the cadre of IAS Kanchan from batch 2020 was transferred to Punjab from Gujarat on the grounds of marriage to IAS Akash Bansal.
