Four feared to have jumped in Tharad’s Narmada canal in suspected mass suicide attempt

An attempted mass suicide is suspected in Tharad’s Narmada Canal after a motorbike, slippers, and a mobile phone were recovered near the Jamda bridge on the main canal. Police believe that four people may have jumped into the canal.
The Tharad Fire Brigade immediately launched a search-and-rescue operation, with divers searching the canal for any survivors. Crowds of locals gathered at the scene as news of the incident spread across the region.
Police and local administration officials have begun an investigation to identify the missing individuals and uncover the motive behind the suspected suicide attempt.
The cause of the incident remains unknown. Officials confirmed that the Tharad municipal fire brigade had already carried out three separate rescue operations earlier the same day, adding to the sense of urgency and concern in the area.
