Four drown in Panchmahal during Ganesh visarjan, one dies

Amid the enthusiasm of Ganesh Chaturthi festivities, a tragedy happened in the Panchmahals on Tuesday during visarjan (Ganesh procession).

Four people drowned in the Goma River during Ganesh visarjan (while immersing Ganesh idol in the river) in Kalol’s Mirapuri village of Panchmahal district. With the help of local residents, three were rescued, while one person lost his life. As per reports, police and fire department teams rushed to the spot and recovered the body from the river.
