FIve die of heart attack in 24 hours

All the deceased were 45 years old or younger

As heart health continues to be a concern of worry across the state, four more individuals have succumbed to heart attacks in the last 24 hours in Rajkot. 

One in Metoda, three from Rajkot

35-year-old Lalitsingh Gopalsingh Parihar, a resident of Vyankatesh Apartment in Ambika Township, fainted this morning and was shifted to Civil Hospital, where he was declared dead. A preliminary investigation revealed that the cause of death was heart attack. Parihar worked as a security guard.

In a separate incident in the same city, Rajesh Gordhanbhai Bhoot, a 45-year-old farmer, died of a heart attack this morning, as informed by Kuwadwa road police.

Bhoot, a resident of Kotharia, while at his farm in Khorana village, fainted and was immediately shifted to the Civil Hospital, where he was declared dead.

In another incident, 34-year-old Rashid Khan, a resident of Om Udyog Nagar, was shifted to Civil after he fainted at home today. He was also rushed to the Civil Hospital but faced the same fate as the other two and died at the hospital. Aji Dam police mentioned that he also died of a heart attack.  The sudden death of the young and only brother among six sisters has left the family in shock.

In another incident, Vijay Sankesh, a 30-year-old from Rajkot’s Metoda GIDC, succumbed to heart attack on Oct 2 while cooking. He was shifted to the Civil Hospital but was declared dead. Metoda police investigation revealed ‘heart attack’ as the cause of death.

Similarly, a woman as young as 21 years old, Dhara Parmar, fell unconscious and passed away at her residence of suspected cardiac arrest.

The youngest of the three sisters, her father works at a manufacturing unit.
