Four dead after bikes collide in Porbandar, one seriously injured​

A horrific accident early on Monday in Porbandar, Gujarat, killed four youths, while a fifth one is battling for life in a hospital. Two bikes carrying five youths were speeding when they collided, resulting in the deaths of at least four of them, while one youth has been admitted to hospital with injuries, sources said. 

The bikes were speeding on the airport road in Porbandar when the collision took place. All the youths were flung in the air and landed on the hard road. Onlookers rushed to the accident scene and shifted all the injured youth in 108 ambulance. However, three were declared dead on arrival, while one died during treatment and the lone survivor is undergoing treatment at Bhavsinhji Hospital in Porbandar.

Doctors on duty at Bhavsinhji Hospital declared 26-year-old Milan Badarshahi, 18-year-old Dipesh Dhakecha and 17-year-old Vanraj Jhala dead on arrival, while 24-year-old Piyush Lodhari died during treatment. Currently, 14-year-old Pratik Nilesh Jethwa is undergoing treatment. The families of the youths rushed to the hospital on hearing the news.

Porbandar Police have registered an accident case and are conducting further investigation. CCTV footage and witnesses are being questioned to ascertain the reason behind such a horrific collision in the early hours of the morning.
