Former Congress MLA from Dhanera Joita Patel joins BJP ahead of LS polls

The spree of leaders from opposition flocking to the ruling BJP (Bharatiya Janata Party) continues today, as Congress leaders from Banaskantha joined the saffron party. Former Congress MLA from Dhanera, Joita Patel, and Thakor community leader Labji Thakor, have joined the BJP.
The duo switched sides in presence of state BJP chief CR Patil.
It is noteworthy that Patel is also the sitting director and board member at Banas Dairy.
He has been a three-time MLA from the same constituency since 2012–2017.
Moreover, around 300 Congress and AAP workers have also switched to the BJP in Ahmedabad, at the party’s Khanpur office. Minister of state for home affairs, Harsh Sanghavi induced the members into the party. City BJP chief Amit Shah was also present in this ceremony.
A horde of turncoats have flocked to the BJP till now before the Lok Sabha elections, which include stalwart leaders and former Congress MLAs Arjun Modhwadia, CJ Chavda, Ambrish Der, Niranjan Patel, and Naran Rathwa.
