Gujarat CID nabs five for stealing oil near Dhrangadhra-Malvan Highway

Acting on an intel, the CID apprehended five individuals named Ajmal Koli, Mehboob Sumera, Narpat Thakor, Pravin Koli, and Gajrajsinh Rawat from an open parking lot in Pipli.

Meanwhile, Manish Patel the mastermind, along with other accused Suresh Ramgopal, Razak, Narendrasinh Jadeja, Vishal, and two tanker drivers, managed to flee the scene. They have been declared wanted by the CID.

The accused stole palm oil, castor oil, and soybean oil from the tankers coming from Mundra. They would call the tanker driver to the location and fill up the barrels with oil.

During the raid, the CID seized several items including tankers, oil barrels, empty barrels, pipes, plastic tubes, mobile phones, and a weighing machine, all whose worth was ₹1.57 crore. 

Investigations revealed that the accused were luring tanker drivers and cleaners into the theft by offering them money. They coordinated the operation through a WhatsApp group, directing drivers to the location to fill barrels with oil stolen from those tankers. 

Further probe is on and search for the accused is on in the matter .
