A fire broke out in a building in Ahmedabad today. The fire department arrived at the spot immediately and efforts to douse the fire are underway.

Fire department’s efforts ongoing; reason for the outbreak unknown

The fire broke out in Avadh Arcade in Ahmedabad's Jivraj park area. Around ten vehicles from the fire department have reached the scene, and three people trapped inside the building have been rescued successfully.

The reason for the fire in the building is not yet known; however, as per primary details, a fire broke out initially in the lift of the building in the basement area. A situation of panic occurred after the smoke emerging from the fire spread across the building.

Avadh Arcade situated on a busy stretch

Avadh Arcade has a hotel and a car showroom in the building complex. Ahmedabad metro’s red line also passes through the road adjacent to the building complex.
