Fire breaks out on third floor of Solitaire building on SG Highway in Ahmedabad

Panic gripped a section of Ahmedabad on Friday after a fire broke out on the third floor of the Solitaire building located along SG Highway, prompting a major emergency response by the Ahmedabad Fire and Emergency Services Department.
According to officials, thick plumes of smoke were seen billowing out from the third floor of the commercial building, leading to chaos and fear among occupants and nearby residents. Visuals from the scene showed dense smoke engulfing parts of the structure as people gathered outside the premises.
At least 10 fire tenders were rushed to the spot soon after the blaze was reported. Fire personnel launched rescue and firefighting operations using hydraulic platforms to access the upper floors of the building.
Senior fire department officials, including the Chief Fire Officer, remained present at the site to supervise the operation. Authorities said efforts were underway to bring the blaze under control and ensure the safe evacuation of people from the building.
No casualties or injuries had been officially reported till the filing of this report. However, the exact number of people trapped or evacuated was yet to be confirmed.
Officials said the precise cause of the fire has not yet been ascertained and an investigation would be initiated once the situation is brought under control.
