Fire breaks out at ice-cream distribution unit in Ahmedabad

A fire broke out early on Saturday morning at the premises of an Ice cream distribution centre in Saijpur Bogha, Ahmedabad, damaging at least three battery-operated tricycles. The incident occurred around 6.12 am and was brought under control by 7.25 am, according to the Ahmedabad Fire and Emergency Service department.
The blaze reportedly originated from a battery-operated three-wheeler belonging to Havmore Distribution, which caught fire during charging due to an electrical overload. The flames quickly spread, engulfing two other nearby tricycles parked at the site. During the incident, around ₹2 lakh worth of valuables were damaged.
The Ahmedabad Fire and Emergency Service department rushed to the spot, and brought the situation under control. Three firefighting vehicles and 10 firefighters were at the spot, and operation to rescue those stuck in the centre began.
It has been revealed that one individual, identified as Shyam Sundar, sustained burn injuries in the incident and was rushed to a nearby hospital via the 108 emergency ambulance service. Another person, Kailash (55), was rescued safely.
Fire officials confirmed that prompt action helped contain the fire before it could spread further to adjacent structures or vehicles. An investigation is underway to determine the precise cause of the electrical fault that led to the fire.
