Fire breaks out at chemical warehouse in Narol-Isanpur industrial estate

A fire broke out at a chemical warehouse located in Balaji Estate on the Narol-Isanpur Road on Saturday afternoon, prompting a swift response from the Ahmedabad Fire and Emergency Services.
According to preliminary information, the incident was reported at around 12:56 pm at Warehouse No. 55 in Balaji Estate, where chemicals were stored. Thick smoke was seen billowing from the premises, causing alarm among workers and nearby industrial units.
Upon receiving the alert, fire brigade teams were immediately dispatched to the spot. Fire tenders, including the Aslali Mini Fire Tender and the Aslali Gajaraj vehicle, were pressed into service to contain the blaze and prevent it from spreading to adjoining warehouses.
Firefighters launched cooling and firefighting operations soon after reaching the site. The exact cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained, though officials are expected to investigate whether any chemical reaction or storage-related issue triggered the incident.
No casualties or injuries had been reported at the time of filing this report. However, officials were assessing the extent of damage caused to the warehouse and its contents.
Fire department personnel continued firefighting operations for several hours as a precautionary measure, given the presence of potentially hazardous chemical materials inside the premises.
