Fire at fiber company in Vadodara’s Por GIDC, major disaster averted
A fire broke out at a fiber company in Por GIDC in Vadodara last night, however, a major disaster was avoided after employees controlled most of the fire before the fire brigade arrived.
The fire is believed to have started due to a short circuit caused by overheating in a machine inside the company. As soon as the fire started, employees quickly ran outside and began efforts to extinguish the flame. Their quick action is believed to have helped reduce the spread of the fire.
When the Vadodara fire brigade reached at the site, the fire was mostly under control. During their inspection, they found gas cylinders at the site and immediately moved them to a safe place.
Because of timely action by employees and firefighters, a bigger incident was prevented.
