FDCA officials seize 915 kg of adulterated paneer in Banaskantha

Gujarat Food and Drugs Control Administration (FDCA) officials seized 915 kilograms of adulterated paneer worth ₹2,00,000 from Chhapi in Vadgam taluka of Banaskantha. The trader was caught with the paneer made from palmolein oil and acetic acid, and selling the product without a food licence.
The department staff raided the Alia Milk Products located in Chhapi GIDC Estate based on a tip-off that paneer produced at the unit was suspicious.
The company owner, Karodia Umarfarak Abdul Rehman, was manufacturing, storing, and selling adulterated paneer without food manufacturing licence.
Seven cans of non-food grade acetic acid and palm oil were also recovered from the site. The food department staff took three samples and sent them to the laboratory, while the remaining 915 kg of paneer, worth an estimated ₹2,00,000, was seized.
In a separate incident, the FDCA busted a unit in Dahod with adulterated edible oil worth ₹15 lakh.
