An RTI (Right to Information) application was dismissed by the Public Information Officer, Drug Inspector (Food), and the Food and Drugs Control Administration (FDCA), Junagadh stating the applicant was not present to inspect records.
The RTI was filed by Una resident Rasik Chavda before the FDCA.
FDCA assistant commissioner stated that the absence of the applicant translated to his disinterest in receiving the answer, and subsequently dismissed his application.
The letter by the officer states that on August 7, a letter was sent to Chavda to appear in person at the office for record inspection, but he failed to appear at the specified time and place.
Chavda was given another opportunity for a record inspection on August 14, for which he didn’t appear either.
The letter further states that it establishes that Chavda is not interested in receiving the information, dismissing his application.
