Father–son duo booked for forging documents to usurp land worth crores in Dholera

Ahmedabad Crime Branch has registered a case against a father-son duo for allegedly forging notary stamps and land documents to illegally claim land worth crores in Dholera.
Developer Bhavesh Patel had met Ujash Shah and his father Sanjay Shah for plotting and marketing of land. Patel later discovered that the duo had created fabricated agreements claiming ownership rights over the land he had purchased.
Bhavesh Patel, who is involved in land development and plotting work, had partnered with Ujash Shah and his father Sanjay Shah for developing land in Dholera. Under this arrangement, 17 plots were created on the land and subsequently sold by Bhaveshbhai. He had also entered into separate deals to purchase additional land parcels in Dholera.
However, some time later, Bhaveshbhai discovered that Ujash and his father had submitted forged documents and produced a fake one-sided agreement claiming ownership rights over the very land Bhavesh had purchased. The fabricated agreement falsely stated that Bhaveshbhai had transferred ownership of the land to Ujash and Sanjay. To support this claim, they allegedly used counterfeit documents of previous landowners.
The father–son duo also handed over fabricated land papers to other individuals, indicating a wider conspiracy. According to police, they, along with a notary, lawyers, and others, orchestrated a large-scale fraud. The Ahmedabad Crime Branch has now registered a case and launched a deeper investigation into the network involved.
