Ex-MLA Chhotu Vasava’s son named in former sarpanch’s murder case in Bharuch

Police investigations into the death of former sarpanch Bhogilal Vasava in Shiyali village, Jhagadia taluka in Gujarat have revealed that the incident was a case of murder not a road accident. Dilip Vasava, son of former BTP (Bharatiya Tribal Party) MLA Chhotu Vasava, has been named in the case.

The case relates to the death of Bhogilal Vasava, former sarpanch of Shiyali village, who was allegedly run over by a truck. Initially, the incident was presented as a road accident. However, during the police investigation, it was revealed to be a case of murder.

Earlier, police arrested three accused, Ranjit Vasava, Dittiya Vasava, and Nipul Vasava in connection with the crime. To avoid arrest, Dilip Vasava had moved an anticipatory bail application before the Ankleshwar court, which has now been dismissed.

The incident took place on the morning of August 13, when a truck rammed into Bhogilal Vasava’s motorbike near the Bandabeda road from Shiyali village, killing him on the spot. Following the investigation, police have intensified efforts to arrest Dilip Vasava.
