Emergency meeting held in Gujarat chaired by CM Bhupendra Patel amid India-Pakistan conflict

In light of the escalating tension between India and Pakistan, a high-level emergency meeting was convened today under the leadership of Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel.

The meeting took place at the State Emergency Operations Center and was attended by Minister of State for Home Harsh Sanghavi, senior officials from all three branches of the armed forces, and BSF Inspector General Abhishek Pathak.

Meeting was also attended by Chief Secretary of Gujarat  Pankaj Joshi, Chief Minister’s Secretary Avantika Singh, Additional Chief Secretary of Health Dhananjay Dwivedi, and Gujarat Director General of Police Vikas Sahay.

The Chief Minister reviewed the situation in the state’s border districts and discussed preparedness across other regions. Detailed assessments were made with the district collectors and SPs  (Superintendent of Police) of Kutch, Patan, and Banaskantha, while other district officials joined the meeting via video conferencing.

Home Minister Harsh Sanghavi noted that complaints were filed against four individuals in various districts of Gujarat for posting anti-national content on social media. He stated that such activities will not be tolerated, and police have been instructed to take strict action if such content is detected. Authorities are closely monitoring social media.

In addition, a key coordination meeting was held with army and BSF officials in the border districts to ensure readiness and cooperation.
