According to a complaint filed by PSI D R Patel, the incident involved a fishing boat named Yashsagar, owned by Ramgi Solanki. Solanki allegedly took a fisherman not listed in the official crew token, identified as Ganesh Dogarkar from Patelwada, Valsad, for fishing operations in Porbandar’s territorial waters.

Further investigation also revealed the presence of six additional unauthorised crew members on board. The arrested individuals include:

Ajit Kodya

Chhagan Kodya

Mangu Varli

Vinu Kodya

Sunil Vadu

Nayan Bariya

Police officials confirmed that the fishing activity was carried out without proper authorisation, violating regulations that require crew members to be listed and approved through official tokens.

All eight individuals have been taken into custody, and legal proceedings have been initiated under relevant maritime and fisheries laws.
