When the victim arrived at the designated spot, three men confronted him immediately. Before the victim could react, the attackers assaulted him, threatened him at knifepoint, snatched ₹14,000 in cash, and fled the scene.
Technical Surveillance Leads to Rapid Arrests
Following the mugging, the victim approached the Dungra police station and lodged a formal complaint.
Police Inspector B.N. Gohil assembled operational teams to trace the suspects by analysing CCTV feeds and tracking digital footprints.
Investigators cracked the case within a short span and apprehended the three accused from Karwad:
- Shahbaz Abdul Aziz Chaudhari (19), resident of Sai Aastha-1, Karwad
- Jawahar Ramnaresh Yadav (19), resident of Sai Aastha-1, Karwad
- Zaheer Samiullah Khan (20), resident of Sai Shraddha-1, Karwad
The police recovered the entire robbed amount from the trio and remanded them in custody as further investigation continues.
