Amdavad Municipal Corporation’s Solid Waste Department has slapped a fine of ₹5 lakh on RKC Infrastructure for spilling asphalt gravel from Keshavbaug to Sindhu Bhavan Road, leaving the stretch dirty ahead of the upcoming Mayor’s Conference on October 15 and 16.

The violation came to light during a routine inspection by the deputy municipal commissioner, who found that dumpers transporting material had damaged the road surface by scattering asphalt gravel.

Acting on the directive for strict action, the Solid Waste Department launched a chase near Judges Bungalow, where two dumpers belonging to RKC Infrastructure were being driven recklessly.

While one driver managed to flee, the other dumper was intercepted and questioned. Subsequent investigation confirmed that both vehicles were linked to RKC Infrastructure, following which the company was issued a notice and penalized.
