Ahmedabad plane crash: Doctor angry over vacating overnight says, ‘Was disturbed, didn’t know what I said’’

In a video that went viral after the Ahmedabad plane crash, a resident doctor was seen weeping and requesting time to vacate the premises of B J Medical College.
As per reports, among those who died in the fateful Ahmedabad plane crash were not just doctors, but also their family members.
Following the crash, people from areas near the crash site were being moved to safer places as part of relief and rescue operations. Meanwhile, a video of Dr Anil Panwar from U N Mehta Institute of Cardiology and Research Centre went viral on social media, in which he raised concerns about shifting of belongings from his residence so quickly.
Dr Panwar was seen crying on camera saying, “Please understand our helplessness. It’s not easy to vacate a home overnight. We should have been given two to three days. My daughter is in the hospital, and I’m staying there. I’m managing both staying there and shifting my belongings,” said the Civil Hospital doctors in the video, expressing frustration. The doctor has since stated, “Due to the shocking events, I wasn’t aware of what I said…”
Mentally disturbed by the turn of events
Regarding the matter, Dr Panwar said, “I was mentally disturbed for the past two days due to the tragic incident and didn’t realise what I said. Accommodation has been arranged for us and I’m glad that we are safe.”
Accommodation facilities are available for all doctors at the U N Mehta Institute of Cardiology and Research Centre. Dr Anil Panwar and his wife have been allotted housing.
