DNA sampling facility set up at Ahmedabad’s Civil Hospital for victims of plane crash

Arrangements have been made by Ahmedabad Civil Hospital to collect DNA samples from the relatives of those who died in the Ahmedabad plane crash to help with identification, according to Health Secretary Shri Dhananjay Dwivedi.
Currently, 50 injured individuals are being treated at the Civil Hospital, and all patients are reported to be in stable condition.
A dedicated DNA sampling facility has been set up at the Kasoti Bhavan of Ahmedabad Civil Hospital for this purpose.
Only close relatives of victims such as parents or children will be allowed to provide DNA samples.
The hospital administration has requested that relatives and loved ones of the victims visit the Kasoti Bhavan to submit DNA samples.
In light of the Ahmedabad plane crash, two emergency contact numbers have been released by the Civil Hospital for relatives to obtain patient-related treatment information at the trauma (emergency) center.
