Decomposed body found in parked Mercedes near L J College in Ahmedabad

A decomposed body of a man was discovered inside a parked luxury car in the Sarkhej area of Ahmedabad, prompting a police investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death.
According to the Gujarat Police, the body was found inside a Mercedes car that had reportedly been parked at an isolated spot near L J College for nearly six months. The vehicle, left unattended in the area, raised suspicion after a foul smell was noticed by locals.
Police officials said that upon inspection, a male body in a highly decomposed state was found inside the vehicle. Due to the advanced stage of decomposition, identification of the deceased has not yet been established.
Preliminary inquiries suggest that the car had remained stationary for a prolonged period, and no immediate signs of external disturbance were visible. However, investigators have not ruled out any possibility at this stage.
The Sarkhej Police Station has registered a case of accidental death and initiated further investigation. The body has been sent for post-mortem examination to ascertain the exact cause of death.
Police said efforts are under way to trace the ownership of the vehicle and establish the identity of the deceased. “We are examining all angles, including the vehicle’s registration details and missing persons records,” an officer said.
