Danilimda police demolish structures linked to illegal animal slaughter activities

The Danilimda police, along with municipal authorities, carried out a demolition drive against illegal constructions allegedly linked to unlawful animal slaughter activities in the Danilimda area on Friday.
Police said the drive targeted anti-social elements with previous criminal records under the Gujarat Animal Preservation Act. The demolition operation was supervised by Police Inspector C T Desai of Danilimda Police Station.
As per officials, two accused, Sameer alias Pancham Sabirbhai Khokhar, a resident of Ram Rahim Tekra in Behrampura, and Shahrukh Sabirbhai Qureshi, a resident near Nagina Masjid at Ram Rahim Tekra, Danilimda, had allegedly constructed illegal structures adjoining the cattle market wall.
Police alleged that the premises were being used for illegal animal slaughter activities. In order to maintain law and order and curb anti-social activities in the locality, a joint operation was conducted by the police and the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation to remove the unauthorised constructions.
Officials stated that the demolition was part of an ongoing crackdown on illegal activities and encroachments by persons with criminal antecedents in the city. Further action in the matter is underway.
