A 32-year-old cyclist sustained minor injuries after a car overturned following a collision with a road divider in Ahmedabad during the early hours of Tuesday, police said.

The incident occurred at around 1.05 am when Ramakrushna Rampati Patel (32), a resident of Chandkheda, was out cycling.

According to preliminary information, a four-wheeler travelling on the same stretch of road allegedly went out of the driver's control and struck the central divider. The impact caused the vehicle to overturn, leaving it extensively damaged.

During the accident, the overturned car also hit the cyclist, causing him minor injuries. He was provided medical attention, and officials said his injuries were not serious.

The car sustained severe damage and has been declared a total loss due to the impact of the crash.

Police said no fatalities were reported in the incident. Following discussions between the cyclist and the driver, both parties reached an amicable settlement, and no dispute remained between them.

Officials added that the circumstances leading to the driver losing control of the vehicle are being examined as part of routine inquiry.
