Congress leader Paresh Dhanani suffers minor heart attack, stable after treatment
Gujarat Congress leader Paresh Dhanani suffered a minor heart attack on Tuesday in Nasik, Maharashtra, and was admitted to a hospital.
According to reports, Dhanani underwent angioplasty and is in a stable condition now.
Dhanani contested Lok Sabha elections 2024 from Rajkot against BJP’s Parshottam Rupala who was facing discontent over his controversial remarks about Kshatriyas.
Dhanani had earlier defeated Rupala in the 2002 Assembly elections for the Amreli constituency.
However, Rupala still went on to claim the victory in Rajkot in the general election.
Dhanani has previously served as the Leader of Opposition in the Gujarat Legislative Assembly.
