Congress leader Amit Chavda, in the aftermath of the attack on the Gujarat Pradesh Congress office in Ahmedabad's Paldi, addressed the media where he criticised the government of 'encouraging goons'.

At 4 am today, Congress office in Ahmedabad was vandalised by people Chavda alleged to be Home Minister Amit Shah and Prime Minister Narendra Modi's goons, according to a tweet by Chavda earlier today.

In the press conference, Chavda said, "Rahul Gandhi exposed the failures of the BJP government and exposed fake Hindus. He talked about country's culture and Lord Shiva. He said that true Hindu should not intimidate anyone. On the other hand, BJP is spreading violence and hate."

"These attacks by goons do not scare us, we are not afraid," said Chavda.

Chavda also alleged that during the attack on Congress office, the pregnant daughter of the watchman on duty was assaulted by the attackers.

Quoting Rahul Gandhi's Lok Sabha speech, he said, “Rahul Gandhi said that we will defeat you (BJP) in Gujarat. Come face to face, we will fight with the constitution, truth, and non-violence to defeat BJP in Gujarat in future.”
