Complaint against former Balasinor BJP MLA’s son, mob for attacking contractor over land dispute

A police complaint has been filed against Parth Pathak, son of former BJP MLA of Balasinor Rajesh Pathak, and a group of individuals for attacking a man over a land dispute on the Pilodara Road in Balasinor taluka’s Mahisagar district.

The complaint was filed against Parth and the group for attacking one Jigar Patel.

As per the complaint, Jigar, an agricultural and civil contractor, was fatally attacked on July 28. Earlier that day, Jigar had gone to the said land – claimed to be his brother Nitin’s – where land measurement was being undertaken. 

He was scolded by Rajesh Pathak’s business partner, Tinamama, who rebuked him for trespassing.

Later that night, around 40 unknown people attacked Jigar after abusing him, as per the complaint.

Jigar suffered serious injuries to his head and body. The attackers also threatened to kill him. An FIR has been filed by the police, and the investigations are ongoing.
