Collection of property tax arrears fetch AMC ₹6.63 cr from 2,358 properties

The Amdavad Municipal Corporation (AMC) is currently waiving off interest to taxpayers who have paid property tax arrears from March 31-24. On Mar 1, however, the property of 2,358 defaulters in seven zones was sealed to collect property tax.

Through these raids, a recovery of ₹6.63 was made. The highest number of 938 properties were sealed in the western zone, which incurred an earning of ₹1.47 crores to the corporation.

Tax payers of 1,352 properties in different wards of West Zone were given last warning notices for payment of outstanding tax before this.
