CM takes stock of Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit 2024 preps

Gujarat chief minister Bhupendra Patel chaired a high-level meeting with the top officials before the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit (VGGS) 2024, which will take place from Jan 10 to 12, 2024.
The additional chief secretary of the Industries and Mines department, SJ Haider, presented the overall planning of the summit.
Haider revised the pre-summit events, which included the CM’s visit to Japan and Singapore alongside the visits made by the ministers. All of these itineraries totalled up to around 200 one-to-one meetings in the visits made to 11 countries.
The pre-events included nationwide roadshows in 10 cities and around 100 one-to-one meetings.
13 of the scheduled pre-events have concluded, while two of them will be conducted in January 2024 before the summit.
A global trade show will be organised on Jan 9, which will see reverse buyer-seller meetings, vendor development, and seminars promoting startups, MSMEs, and women entrepreneurs.
Vibrant Gujarat Summit programmes
On the first day of the summit on Jan 10, 2024, a seminar, conference, and panel discussion regarding ‘Industry 4.0: Spearheading the Industrial Revolution’ will be held, which will see industries like aircraft, maintenance, repairs, and operations (MRO) opportunities in ancillary production, a green-field smart city for Dholera—smart business, and the road map for Gujarat under Viksit Bharat @ 2047 at the centre stage.
A country and state seminar will be organised at GIFT City on the evening of Jan 10.
The second day of the summit on Jan 11 will be under the theme of ‘Technology and Innovation Drivers of Inclusive Growth’.
Several seminars and conferences organised on this day will include semiconductors and electronics, port-based city development, and building workforce for the future, among others.
For the ‘Industries 4.0’, youth-focused events, EVs (electric vehicles), startups, ‘Modern India’s Aspiration - GIFT City’, an international space conference, renewable energy, and a global network development programme for skill development, among others, have been included.
On Jan 12, the last day of the summit,several seminars including MSME conclave, de-carbonisation of the economy, among others will be organised.
