Class 11 boy brutally murdered by same-sex partner

In a fit of jealousy, a 22-year-old man killed his same-sex 16-year-old partner in Jamnagar on Nov 30. 

The accused had an intricate plan for killing and also covering his tracks but was caught by the police along with his associate.

A class 11 boy from Jamnagar’s Mohan Nagar area, was kidnapped on Nov 30 and taken to a remote place. He was then strangled to death after being sedated by two persons, Shubham Parmar and Khushal Barad, with who he had been sexually active.

The accused attempted to burn the boy’s corpse with petrol.

Police have arrested the two and obtained a three-day remand for their interrogation.

Relationship between the three

After  examining the CCTV footage, it was observed  that the two took Hardik to a remote location on the outskirts of Suvarda village near Jamnagar on their bike.

During interrogation, Shubham admitted to having been sexually active with the victim for a year or so.He said he grew jealous of him.

Police interrogation also revealed that Khushal, the other accused, was also involved  in this as a sexual partner for the last four months.

The two accused admitted to buying an injection and a sedative from a pharmacy near Jamanagar’s GG hospital and carrying them in a bag. Khushal was also carrying his mother’s scarf in the bag to strangle the victim with it.

In fact, he was also carrying petrol in his bag which was to be used to burn and dispose of the body.

The cover up

Khushal returned to his home in Jamnagar after the heinous act. But Shubham went to the deceased’s father and pretended to look out for him. He also accompanied his father to the Darbargadh police station and registered a complaint in this case.

It was after probing the CCTV footage that the police spotted the victim travelling with Shubham on a bike, which belonged to his father.
