In anticipation of increased emergencies during the Navratri festival, Civil Hospitals in Asarwa and Sola in Ahmedabad will deploy a total of 200 medical staff, including doctors, to handle the surge in cases.

This includes 150 staff members at Civil Hospital and 50 at Sola Civil Hospital, all providing round-the-clock services.

The primary concern during Navratri is the rise in vehicle accidents, which saw a 23% increase last year compared to regular days. To address this, Civil Hospital will have specialists in orthopedics, ENT, and other fields doctors on standby.

Dr. Rakesh Joshi, Superintendent of Civil Hospital, emphasised the need for patients with respiratory, heart, blood pressure, and diabetes conditions to take extra precautions.

He advised that those experiencing symptoms like dizziness, chest pain, or shortness of breath should immediately stop participating in Garba and seek medical attention. Additionally, individuals with diabetes and high blood pressure are advised to avoid prolonged participation in Garba.

The hospitals are prepared to handle the influx of patients, ensuring that everyone receives the necessary care during the festive season.
