Chat messages of Class 8 student who allegedly killed Class 10 student outside Khokhra school surface

Fresh revelations have emerged in the shocking case of the Class 10 student’s murder outside Seventh Day Adventist School in Khokhra, with chat messages of the accused minor surfacing and exposing his mindset.
According to police sources, the 16-year-old accused, who allegedly stabbed the senior student following a scuffle on August 19, had exchanged WhatsApp messages with a friend shortly before and after the attack. In the chat, the accused is learnt to have boasted, “Tu kaun hai, kya kar lega? (Who are you, what will you do?)” and went on to admit that he had stabbed the victim.

The conversation further reveals that the accused’s friend advised him to remain underground for a few days following the murder. Investigators say the exchange not only indicates the accused’s lack of remorse but also reflects the troubling state of mind with which the crime was committed.

Crime Branch officials probing the case said the recovered digital evidence will be an important part of the chargesheet. The Class 8 student, currently in custody, has been booked for murder under relevant sections of the BNS and the Juvenile Justice Act.
The incident has triggered widespread outrage across the city, with the victim’s family demanding the death penalty for the accused and closure of the school. The Crime Branch is continuing its probe into the role of others allegedly involved, including claims by the family that more minors were part of the assault.
