Ahmedabad wakes up to gusty winds, dust storm-like conditions

Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar, Kalol, and parts of central Gujarat woke up to an unusual morning on Thursday as a sudden change in weather brought gusty winds and isolated thunder strikes across parts of the region.

Between 5:00 and 5:30 am, a dust storm-like situation swept through these parts of Gujarat — a sharp and unexpected shift as summer steadily begins to set in.

Trees swayed, strong winds carried dust across streets, and early risers were left surprised by the sudden intensity and unpredictability of the weather.

On social media, some users ever reported heavy rains in outskirts of Ahmedabad, however, the claims remain unverified.

It is worth noting that the India Meteorological Department has already predicted unseasonal rainfall in parts of Gujarat this week, along with a dip in temperatures, despite this typically dry period of the season.
