Change of streams among other amendments to class 11-12 exams
Gujarat government announced amendments to the rules for Class 11 and 12 Science examinations.
The new rules allow students in Class 11 Science to pass with any group and subsequently switch to a different group in Class 12. This change is expected to ease the pressure on students who may have initially chosen the wrong group.
For students in Class 12 Science (B Group), the government has introduced two key changes. Firstly, students who fail the main subject can now appear for supplementary exams as individual candidates, without having to retake the entire examination.
Secondly, students who pass Class 12 Science (B Group) will have the option to appear for a supplementary exam in Mathematics.
Earlier on December 11,Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSHSEB) issued a circular on Tuesday changing the dates of Class 12 examination coinciding with Holi on March 13, 2025.
As per the updated timetable, the GSHSEB HSC exams 2025 will take place from February 27 to March 17. The exams will end on March 17, instead of March 13.
