In Gujarat, the Chandipura virus outbreak continues with six new cases reported on July 25. This brings the total number of suspected Chandipura case patients to 124.

Moreover, three more deaths were recorded on July 25, bringing the death toll to 44.

54 patients admitted 

According to the health department, 54 patients are currently admitted to various hospitals in the state, while 24 patients were discharged.

37 positive cases

A total of 37 positive cases of the Chandipura Virus have been identified in the state.

Malathion powder dusting 

So far, dusting operations using malathion powder were carried out in 4,96,000 houses to curb the breeding of sandflies. Surveillance activities are being conducted in 41,211 houses, including the homes of affected patients and nearby residences.
