According to reports, a family in Chipawad’s Gafurji Gali in Jamalpur had organised a meal to celebrate their new home. Along with other dishes, gajar ka halwa (Carrot halwa) was also served to guests. Late at night, after the feast, guests began complaining of stomach pain, vomiting, and restlessness.
After consuming the carrot halwa, one after another nearly 35–40 people fell sick. As conditions worsened, all affected guests were rushed to nearby hospitals for immediate treatment.
