Ceiling slab collapses in Ahmedabad’s LD college, one injured

A major incident occurred on Wednesday morning at the hostel of L D Engineering College in Ahmedabad. A slab of ceiling suddenly collapsed in a room of the hostel ‘B’ block, creating panic among students. One student sustained serious injuries and was immediately shifted for medical treatment.

Images from the scene show that a large portion of the slab landed directly on a student’s bed. In the accident, the student suffered injuries to the head and other parts of the body. 

Fellow students and hostel authorities rushed him to Sola Civil Hospital for immediate treatment. He is currently under medical supervision, and his condition is reported to be stable.

Fortunately, no fatalities were reported.
