Car rams biker on Pakwan Bridge, drags bike stuck in its bonnet in shocking hit-and-run

A bizarre accident was reported on SG Highway in Ahmedabad where a speeding car rammed into a motorcyclist on the Pakwan overbridge. The impact was so severe that the bike got stuck in the car’s bonnet and engine section. Despite this, the driver did not stop and allegedly dragged the bike for a considerable distance on the highway before fleeing the scene.
A video of the incident, now going viral on social media, clearly shows the bike lodged in the front portion of the car. Shockingly, the driver continued driving with the bike stuck, displaying reckless and negligent behavior before escaping.
As seen in the video, 47-year-old Kamlesh Pankhaniya, a resident of Naroda, was passing over the Pakwan overbridge when a speeding Volkswagen Polo car coming from Thaltej towards Sarkhej hit his bike.
Kamlesh sustained serious injuries in the accident, including deep wounds to the chest, waist, head, and forehead. He also suffered fractures in both legs along with multiple injuries across his body.
Following the incident, bystanders immediately alerted 108 emergency services, and the injured was rushed to Sola Civil Hospital for treatment. Due to his critical condition and need for advanced care, he was later shifted to a private hospital.
After the incident, traffic police have registered a case against the unidentified car driver and initiated further investigation. Efforts are underway to identify and nab the absconding driver using viral video footage and CCTV cameras installed along the highway.
