Campus clash at JG University: ABVP workers allegedly hurt during dispute with security guards

Tensions flared at JG University in Ahmedabad after a scuffle reportedly broke out between security guards and members of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) on campus. According to police, a complaint has been lodged against five to six security guards accused of assaulting ABVP workers with sticks.
The incident occurred when ABVP members had arrived at the university to make an announcement. However, college authorities allegedly asked them to conduct the programme outside the campus premises, leading to a heated argument between the two sides.
During the altercation, security personnel allegedly attacked the student activists, resulting in injuries to some of them. The injured were later taken to a hospital for treatment.
Following the incident, a team from Vastrapur Police reached the spot and registered a case against the guards involved. Further investigation into the matter is underway.
