Two employees of the Cama Group have been accused of committing financial fraud amounting to ₹1.70 crore in Ahmedabad, and in Mount Abu, Rajasthan. A complaint has been registered with the Economic Offences Wing following the discovery of the fraud.

The employees allegedly created fake entries in the system and generated vouchers to facilitate the fraudulent transactions.

According to the details in the complaint, Manish Vadi, who handled the company’s accounts, and Mithalal Parmar, who worked at Cama Rajputana Resort in Rajasthan, were involved in the scam.

In September 2024, discrepancies were noticed during an audit of the accounts. When Vadi was alerted, he claimed he would prepare a report and submit it shortly.

Multiple suspicious entries were also found in the accounts of the Mount Abu resort.

When questioned, both employees claimed that the hard disk containing the account records had crashed. However, even after the hard disk was repaired, the recovered data was not shared with the accounts department.

A preliminary audit report later revealed that both Vadi and Parmar had collectively committed fraud worth ₹1.70 crore.

Police have registered a complaint, and an investigation into the matter is currently underway.
