CA results: Six Ahmedabad students among AIR-50 in final, six in intermediate

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) on Monday announced the results of the Foundation, Intermediate, and CA Final examinations held in September. 

Ahmedabad students performed notably well as six students from the city featured in the All-India Top-50 in the CA Final, while six students achieved the same distinction in the Intermediate exam.

The All-India pass percentages stood at 16.23% for the Final, 10.06% for the Intermediate, and 14.78% for the Foundation.

In the Intermediate exam, Kruti Sharma from Ahmedabad secured the 2nd rank at the All-India level.

ICAI now conducts the Foundation, Intermediate, and Final examinations thrice a year — in May, September, and November-December.

In the Foundation exam, held across 544 centres, 1,12,287 candidates had registered nationwide, of which 98,827 appeared, and 14,609 passed, resulting in a 14.78% pass rate.

At the Ahmedabad centre, 3,269 students appeared, and 618 passed, yielding a pass percentage of 18.90%.

For the Intermediate exam, conducted across 548 centres, 1,59,779 candidates registered.

Group 1: 93,074 appeared, 8,780 passed (9.43%)

Group 2: 99,798 appeared, 18,938 passed (27.14%)

Both Groups: 36,398 appeared, 3,663 passed (10.06%)

At the Ahmedabad centre:

Group 1: 1,221 appeared, 9.58% passed

Group 2: 829 appeared, 310 passed (37.53%)

Both Groups: 1,320 appeared, 193 passed (12.35%)

The CA Final was held at 458 centres across India, with 81,852 registered candidates.

Group 1: 51,955 appeared, 12,811 passed (24.99%)

Group 2: 32,273 appeared, 8,151 passed (25.26%)

Both Groups: 19,800 appeared, 2,727 passed (16.23%)

At the Ahmedabad centre:

Group 1: 1,007 appeared, 236 passed (23.44%)

Group 2: 375 appeared, 102 passed (27.20%)

Both Groups: 535 appeared, 124 passed (23.18%)

11,466 students qualify as Chartered Accountants

A total of 11,466 students cleared both groups of the CA Final exam in the September session and have qualified as Chartered Accountants, earning eligibility for the professional degree.
