The results of the CA Final and Intermediate exams conducted by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) in Nov 2023 were declared on Jan 9.

The pass percentage for the CA final stood at 9.42% for the country, and for intermediates, the result was 9.73%.

Seven candidates from Ahmedabad featured in the top 50 for CA final ranks, whereas eight featured in the top 50 for CA intermediate.

CA results for Ahmedabad candidates

In Ahmedabad, 55 candidates out of 922 in Group 1 and 118 candidates out of 695 candidates in Group 2 cleared the CA final. 116 out of 869 cleared from both groups, taking the pass percentage for Ahmedabad to 13.35%.

Candidates featured in top 50 for CA final:

Compared to this, the CA final saw a 9.83% pass percentage for May 2023 and 15.39% for Nov 2022.

For intermediates, 130 candidates out of 1,234 candidates cleared Group 1, and 333 candidates cleared Group 2 exams out of 1,124. In both groups, 301 candidates cleared the exam out of 1,928, marking a pass percentage of 15.61% for the city.

Compared to this, CA intermediate saw a 15.61% pass percentage for May 2023 and 20% for Nov 2022 exam.

Nov 2023 CA final results

For the Nov 2023 CA finals, 6,176 candidates out of 65,294 cleared the exam (9.46%) from Group 1 and 13,540 candidates out of 62,679 candidates cleared the exam (21.60%) in Group 2. In both groups, 3,099 candidates cleared the exam, taking the overall pass percentage to 9.42% for the country.

Comparing it to the last two ICAI results, for May 2023, the overall pass percentage for the country stood at 9.83% and for Nov 2022, it was 15.39%.

Nov 2023 CA intermediate results

With Nov 2023 intermediates, 19,686 candidates out of 1,17,304 candidates cleared the exam from Group 1 (16.78%) and 19,957 candidates cleared the exam from 93,638 candidates (19.18%) for Group 2.

In both groups, 5,204 candidates passed out of 53,459, taking the overall pass percentage to 12.72% for CA intermediate.

Number of qualifying students down

A student who clears both the group examination in the finals, after having cleared intermediate, qualifies for the CA certification.

A total of 8,650 students have qualified as CA after the Nov 2023 exam. Compared to this, 12,825 candidates qualified after the May 2023 results, and 13,430 qualified after the Nov 2022 results.
