Seven dead after bus carrying 35 Gujarati passengers plunges into gorge in Uttarakhand

A bus carrying 35 passengers fell into a gorge in Uttarakhand's Uttarkashi today. Seven people have reportedly died in this accident, while 19 have been rescued till now.
All the passengers in this accident on the Gangotri highway are reported to be Gujaratis.
The bus reportedly belonging to Trimurti travels was returning from Gangotri Dham carrying 35 passengers. According to reports, the bus fell into a gorge after the driver lost control, resulting in seven devotees losing their lives.
The fatal accident took place on the Gangotri highway near Gangnani.
Rescue operations underway
Search and rescue operations for the remaining passengers by the national disaster response force (NDRF), state disaster response force (SDRF), and fire department teams are underway.
As of 8.30 p.m. today, nearly 19 passengers have been rescued from this accident.
