Bomb threats trigger security alert at Gujarat CM office, AMC HQ, RSS office

A major security alert was triggered in Gujarat on Wednesday after bomb threats were issued to multiple high-profile locations, including the Chief Minister's Office in Gandhinagar, the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) headquarters and an RSS office.
According to preliminary information, an anonymous email sent from an unidentified email ID threatened to blow up the Chief Minister's Office located on the third floor of Swarnim Sankul-1 in Gandhinagar.
The threat led to heightened security measures at the Secretariat, with officials and security agencies immediately launching verification procedures.
A similar threat was also issued to the AMC headquarters at Danapith in Ahmedabad. The threatening email was reportedly received on the email ID of the Karanj Police Station. Following the alert, the AMC office was evacuated as a precautionary measure.
The threat message allegedly claimed that the Chief Minister's Office would be targeted at 1:11 pm, the AMC office at 3:11 pm and an RSS office at 5:11 pm, prompting authorities to step up security arrangements across all identified locations. The threat reportedly contained references linked to Khalistan.
Teams from the Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad (BDDS), Special Operations Group (SOG), local police units and the Fire Department rushed to the AMC premises and initiated extensive search operations. Security checks were also intensified at the Secretariat and other threatened locations.
Authorities are currently investigating the source of the emails, tracing their origin and assessing the credibility of the threats. No suspicious object had been reported at the time of filing this report.
Further details are awaited.
