Boat capsize in Kutch creek, BSF save 3 missing employees after 20-hr search

A sudden rise in water levels caused a boat to capsize in Kutch creek on Saturday, with three employees of the boat missing after the incident.
After a tedious 20-hour rescue operation, three employees of a private company were saved by Border Security Force (BSF) officials in the Atpata creek area near Mudhan, Kutch.
Engineer Karansinh Jadeja, Surveyor Ravindra Arechiya, and Operator Adarsh Kumar of Gujarat Heavy Chemicals Ltd (GHCL) went on water-level measuring activity in the company’s boat on January 31 at noon.
They went missing when their boat capsized due to a sudden rise in water level while surveying Atpata creek in Mudhan, Kutch.
On Feb 1, a search operation was launched by the police and BSF in the area.
West Kutch District Police Superintendent of Police Vikas Sunda said that after the employees went missing on Friday, they were found by BSF 59 Battalion soldiers on Saturday with the help of a drone-based on their location.
The administration also breathed a sigh of relief as all three people were found safe before the Air Force drone arrived.
After an extensive 20-hour search operation involving the BSF, police, and other agencies, the three employees were found safe near international border pillar number 1,170. The three employees had to spend the whole night amid a horrific ocean with the support of a chain.
